The Malawi national football team has lost 1 nil to Mozambique to slip and finish bottom of Group D of the World Cup qualification campaign.
Captain Limbikani Mzava’s misplaced back header beat a protruding Ernest Kakhobwe, for the Flames to lose with his own goal.
The goal came in the second half after Mozambique kept attacking from all fronts.
The Meke Mwase side have now finished bottom with just three points which apparently were bagged from a win over the Black Mambas who have had a sweet revenge today.
Now, there will be a decider between leaders Ivory Coast and Cameroon this evening.
