Fresh anti-government demonstrations tomorrow

Politician Bon Kalindo Kalindo says activists have been given a go ahead to hold antigovernment demonstrations on 21st January in Blantyre.

He disclosed this during a media briefing on Wednesday in Blantyre.

Kalindo said they will then hold a civil at Chingeni Tollgate plaza in push for another reduction of tollgate fees.

He was however quick to condemn the police for stopping their demonstrations in Blantyre despite the law enforcers assuring them of maximum security during the protest and following all procedures.

In addition, Kalindo has threatened to lead another wave of protests if government will not provide funds to ACB accusing the state of trying to paralyze the bureau.

Kalindo has also said the government should not allow foreign experts to inspect the country’s military weapon.

He says he is not against ACB director Martha Chizuma but  the permission given to the foreign experts saying Malawians cannot go Zambia to inspect ammunitions.
