Health authorities have disclosed of intentions to start immunization campaigns for the administration of polio vaccines this month.
According to Adrian Chikumbe, Public Relations Officer for the Ministry of Health, the first round of the campaign will start on 21st to 24th of March in all the country’s districts.
Govt intends to administer polio vaccines to two million children
The disclosure comes as the U.N children’s Agency-UNICEF is procuring, over six million doses of polio vaccine which will be administered to 2.9 million under five children.
Speaking to MIJ Online, Chikumbe said all is set for the ministry to start administering the vaccine this month.
