Malawi national football team attacker Peter Banda has been named Simba’s fans player of the month in Tanzania.
The youngster has been in scintillating form for the Tanzanian side lately and scored a goal in the team’s 3-1 victory over Asec Mimosa of Ivory Coast in Confederation Cup recently.
He outwitted Tanzanian full back Shomari Salum Kapombe and centre back Henock Baka from the Democratic Republic of Congo to claim the accolade.
It is his first to be nominated for the accolade and winning it in the end.
Banda joined Simba on a three-year deal from Nyasa Big Bullets after the expiry of his six-month loan deal at Tiraspol Sheriff in Moldova.
There he managed to bag seven goals.
