Positives drawn from tobacco market sales

The country has generated over 88 billion Kwacha- from eleven weeks of tobacco sales.

Speaking to MIJ Online Terephorous Chigwenembe, Public relations officer for Tobacco Commission, so far, the country has sold 42 million kilograms of Tobacco.

Chigwenembe has attributed the development to the good prices buyers are offering on the auction floors and the low rejection rate.

Meanwhile Chigwenembe has lamented over the conduct of some growers who are mixing the leaf with non-tobacco materials- with the aim of filling up their bales.
