The Ministry of Labour, Skills and Innovation has expressed satisfaction with the progress of the ongoing infrastructure development project at Lilongwe Technical College.
It comes after Joel Chigona, the minister responsible, visited the college to appreciate the infrastructure project done by the Skills for a Vibrant Economy (SAVE).
Speaking to MIJ Online, Chigona said the government is working closely with other organizations to provide equipment for training institutions.
Chigona added that the project, which includes the construction of new learning facilities, aligns with the government’s goal of empowering young people through technical vocational education.
Meanwhile, Lilongwe Technical College Principal Suzgika Mvalo described the Skills for a Vibrant Economy (SAVE) project as one of the biggest infrastructure developments at the college.
He added that the project includes the construction of a two-storey girls hostel that will accommodate 80 female students.
