The department of forestry says about 34 million trees are expected to be planted during this year’s tree planting.
According to the department the target comes as preparations for the season are underway.
Commenting on the development Alifeyo Mwalukomo, an environmental expert said there is need to ensure that the exercise is successful as Malawi continues to be faced with natural disasters.
