The Malawi Government has said it will file an application to forfeit property worth MK 5 Billion belonging to Norman Chisale- former security aide of former President Peter Mutharika.
The development comes after Chisale lost a constitutional case in which he was challenging a preservation order which the Director of Public Prosecution Dr Steve Kayuni sought on his property.
Speaking to MIJ Online, Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda- attorney general of the Republic of Malawi – said his office has finalized preparing the application for forfeiture of Chisale’s property and will be filed soon.
