Airtel on expansion plans in Africa

Airtel-backed Indus Towers Limited has announced plans to expand into Africa, starting with Nigeria, Uganda, and Zambia.

The company says the move will diversify revenue streams and leverage Airtel’s strong presence across the continent.

Indus Towers added that it will also explore opportunities in other African markets where Airtel operates.

Managing Director and CEO Prachur Sah said the board’s approval unlocks the company’s vision for long-term growth and value creation.

He added that by combining expertise with Airtel’s footprint, Indus Towers is well-positioned to become Africa’s preferred tower company.
