The Association of Persons with Albinism of Malawi has given a 14 day ultimatum to government to clarify on the exclusion of the construction of houses for persons with albinism and establishment of a National Action plan in the 2023-2024 National budget.
The remarks follow the presentation of the 3.89 trillion kwacha budget by Minister of Finance Sosten Gwengwe.
Speaking to MIJ Online, Young Muhamba, President of the Association of Persons with Albinism of Malawi says the association has decided to call on government to clarify why it has failed to include several projects aimed at promoting the livelihoods of people living with albinism in the country.
Muhamba added that, the association will hold demonstrations at the parliament building on 20th March if government fails to respond to the demands by the association.
