President Lazarus Chakwera says Malawians need to be patient as they appear to endure economic pain and suffering, a situation he says is being attended to his regime.
Chakwera who was speaking at a press briefing on Tuesday after his trips to Kenya, Scotland and Arab Emirates.
According to Chakwera, said government is currently financing strategies that are aimed at solving the problems.
He cited debts that were left by previous regime and financing of government projects as some of the things his government is sorting out.
According to Chakwera the season of National surgery is now and the cost of doing these things is heavy and can’t be done overnight.
But reacting to this Chimwemwe Tsitsi MUBAS based Political analyst said Chakwera should give a timeframe as to when the pain would stop.
On his part, Betchani Tcheleni economic expert has backed the President saying huge debts has potential of affecting the economy.
