As a way of eradicating illiteracy and poverty in the country, Prophet Shepard Bushiri has introduced a bursary scheme that will support over five thousand students in secondary and tertiary institutions.
Bushiri says the move is in reaction to a recent rise of cases of students withdrawing from schools due to lack of fees.
The Enlightened Christian Gathering leader Bushiri says the program will target students below the age of 27 upon being successful after filling application forms.
“This program will facilitate and assist any needy student who is fully Malawian with an identification card either from private or public institution as far as they have proof on lack of financial support” he said.
