All roads will this 3rd November lead to Amaryllis Hotel in Blantyre where the much-anticipated launch of Business In Detail Magazine will take place.
This is a quarterly magazine that depicts Malawi’s economic situation, the business environment, business opportunities and promote products and services which companies are offering to the public.
Further, the publication which boasts of over five hundred distribution points also gives local businesses an opportunity to reach a wide audience and help in providing solutions to economic problems rocking Malawi.
Managing Director for the publication, Tonderai Jai Banda, says the second issue is packed with solutions to the economic crisis which is currently hitting hard as well as business ideas that can change fortunes for most people.
At the event, companies will showcase what they offer on the market and business moguls will have a chance to network as well as have a chance to get first copies of the second issue on auction.
‘’ The priority goal of the magazine is to be relevant to the society by helping both the reader and authorities by giving accurate, balance and detailed information on status of Malawi economy and business environment. This will be done through wide ranging articles that would be from banking sector, the agriculture, Information Technology, manufacturing as well as the creative industry to mention but a few,’’ says Banda.
Banda has since said there is also need for the youth to be part of business narratives that are taking place in Malawi.
‘’The youth have to rise to the occasion and not let be their lives. We need youths who should be able to make ideas and implement them for their personal and national growth. That is why we also have going forward plans on youth engagement,’’ he added.
Some of the notable faces to grace the occasion K Motors CEO Mansoor Karim, Football Association of Malawi President Walter Nyamilandu as well as William Mpinganjira, Group Chief Executive Officer at FDH Financial Holdings Limited where they will tackle some topics on business growth.
