CDEDI denies government’s call for dialogue

The Center for Democracy and economic development Initiative – CDEDI has rejected government’s proposal for a round table discussion over concerns of the rising cost of living.

Namiwa: People want actions.

On Monday, Gospel Kazako minister of Information and government spokesperson said that government will soon be calling all individuals and organizations that have conducted demonstrations in the country to a round table discussion.

But Sylvester Namiwa CDEDI Executive Director has rebuffed government’s call saying Malawians do not want discussions but action.

According to Namiwa, issues such as fulfillment of Tonse promises, dealing with rising cost of living, reducing Presidential travels and many more were spelt properly in the petitions and government should just act on them.
