CDH Investment Bank has donated K10 million to the Companies Registrations and Intellectual Property Centre (CRIPC) to aid in the official inauguration of the institution as it shifts from the Department of Registrar General to a specialized agency.
Daniel Mwangwela, Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary at CDH Investment Bank, stated that this donation reflects the bank’s commitment to assist the government in its efforts to revitalize the country’s economy.
Mwangwela described CRIPC as a vital player in the nation’s business landscape, noting that the institution is anticipated to enhance the provision of essential services that foster innovation, creativity, and business development.
On his part, Chifwayi Chirambo, Deputy Registrar General for Intellectual Property at CRIPC, mentioned that the donation will facilitate the official launch and activities aimed at raising awareness among stakeholders.
He indicated that the transition from the Department of Registrar General to CRIPC will improve service delivery through advanced digital solutions, which will include a new website and an online services portal.
Chirambo further stated belief that this advancement is expected to bolster business growth and aid in achieving Malawi’s Vision 2063 objectives.
CRIPC was formed as a successor to the Department of Registrar General, tasked with providing enhanced company registration and intellectual property services within the country.
