The Chess Association of Malawi (CHESSAM) is sponsoring two top national chess champions, Joseph Mwale and Chiletso Chipanga, to compete in the 2025 Lusaka Open Chess Championship in Zambia from August 2-4.
CHESSAM spokesperson Francisco Mwangupili expressed confidence in the champions’ ability to make a strong impression at the tournament, showcasing Malawi’s chess talent.
