FCB becomes main sponsor of Beit Cure fundraising dinner

First Capital Bank (FCB) has become the main sponsor of the Beit Cure International Hospital’s fundraising dinner slated for August 4, 2023 at Amaryllis Hotel in Blantyre after making a sponsorship package of MK 15 Million.

The donation was made on Tuesday where Twikale Chirwa FCB’s Head of Marketing and Communications said the support is part of interests by the bank to efforts meant to ensure that people are health enough in Malawi.

“AS FCB, we believe that Beit Cure is living the mission and values and they are a trusted partner which we feel to support to develop socio-economic status of Malawi. We are also meant to support the hospital undertake various programs including awareness in its continued efforts to eradicate club foot in the country,” he said.

On his part, Elly Chemey, Beit Cure Malawi Executive Director, commended the bank for the support saying it cements a lengthy relationship that they have had for years.

“We are very much excited. The bank has been our long-standing partner. This fundraising dinner will help us raise resources locally and internationally to support children from across the country to access help here in Blantyre,” said Chemey.

Through the event, the hospital intends to realise over MK 100 Million.

Chemey also said Vice President Saulos Chilima is expected to be the Guest of Honor.

The hospital which rolled out in 2002 is the only hospital in Sub-Saharan Africa recognized by the Royal College of Surgeons of England and it also ministers to emotional and spiritual needs of patients.
