Churches and politicians alike have been challenged to observe their respective roles in ensuring harmony, national unity and national building.
Finish Line Ministries has made the observation at the commissioning of a newly constructed magnificent church at Nkolokoti in Machinjiri, Blantyre and also ahead of the presidential, parliamentary and local government polls on September, 16th, 2025.
Whilst celebrating the newly-constructed church; Bishop Yohane Lovemore Kaphesi general overseer for the ministry in Africa has singled out “individuals-development” as one element of the church in securing a prosperous nation.
He said: “apart from the spiritual aspect, the church also has an essential role of developing its flock for the attainment of socio-economic independence which also brings-out human fulfillment.”
Turning to politics and politicians, Kaphesi said it was the aspiration of the religious-community to see a free-and-fair electoral process that will secure peace, unity and harmony.
On his part; Sean Patrick, president of Finish Line International said he was delighted to see the church growing and serving the community in many aspects both spiritual and physical.
Apparently Finish Line Ministries runs a free primary school, a subsidized secondary school and also a subsidized vocational technical college.
Moving forward Patrick, has committed continued service with humanitarian support through their charity initiative dubbed “Operation Kindness”.
Echoing these observations vice president Michael Usi observed the church played an integral role in fostering peace and oneness.
As such he said, government was grateful that Finish Line Ministries was supporting the country in building peoples capacity to make them self-reliant and self-independent.
