Girl shot by game ranger nursing wounds

MIJ Online is following reports that an 18-year-old girl is in pains after being shot by a game ranger in Chileka, Blantyre.

A brother to the victim Daniel Kasompho has told MIJ Online that the matter is at the moment being handled by police.

He told MIJ Online hours ago that the unidentified game ranger shot his sister on the thigh as she was washing clothes at a river close to Michiru game reserve in a perceived belief she had been encroaching.

Later the brother having noticed of the incident arranged her transfer to hospital.

MIJ Online understands the girl is being treated at Queens Central Hospital.
