Government has described as misplaced, assertions by some quarters that the Tonse led government has failed to meet expectations of Malawians.
The remarks by Gospel Kazako, minister of information comes as on Thursday Mzuzu youth Caucus wrote a vote of no confidence to President Lazarus Chakwera to express disappointment over failure by government to implement its promises.
Gomezgani Nkhoma, chairperson of Mzuzu youth Caucus noted that government has failed to fulfill a three-meal-per-day promise.
Besides Nkhoma also faulted government over the rise in fertilizer prices despite promising Malawians that they will be buying a 50 kilogram-bag of fertilizer at 4, 500 kwacha.
However, Kazako said government was given a five-year mandate and the current administration has only been in power for two years.
With this, the minister said it will be misplaced to say that government has failed.
