Funds amounting to about 7 Billion Kwacha are expected to be used for the construction of three additional toll gates across the country.
Speaking to MIJ Online, Masauko Ngwaluko, Spokesperson for the Roads Fund Administration has disclosed that the tollgates will be constructed in Kasungu, Mchinji and Salima districts.
Ngwaluko said that money for the construction of the three toll gates is already available and that they are still purchasing extra equipment.
Meanwhile, according to Ngwaluko, the exercise is expected to be complete by the end of this year.
Malawi had the first Tollgate Plaza which was commissioned in October last year at Chingeni in Balaka, followed by the Kalinyeke Tollgate Plaza in Dedza.
