Govt opts for dialogue with critics

Government has disclosed that it will engage all concerned groups and individuals that have recently held anti-government demonstrations in the country.

The remarks from Gospel Kazako, minister of information comes as so far three groups have conducted demonstrations and presented petitions to government against the rise in cost of living.

Speaking to MIJ Online, Kazako said the groups are raising valid concerns hence the need to hear them out.

‘’There is need for dialogue. We are building this nation together and we must be in meaningful dissuasion’’ said Kazako.

Recently, President Lazarus Chakwera has said Malawians need to have patience insisting that his government is dealing with prevailing issues and that the effects of Covid19 have not spared Malawi.
