The youth who are graduating from various universities in the country have been challenged to be innovative in establishing income generating activities.
The advice follows recent graduation that have taken place from both private institutions and the final Unima cohorts.
Speaking at a MUBAS finale gala dinner at Amaryllis Hotel in Blantyre, Ernest Kaonga, Managing Director for Maranatha Private Academy and guest of honor for the event, said graduates must understand that the professional market is very small.
Kaonga therefore advised the graduates to cast their nets wider and aim to establish their own businesses.
“If you are not all absorbed into your field of specialization, cast the net wider even if it means crossing the professional boundaries. I am a great example myself, I was not trained as an educationist but I started humbly with Maranatha as a nursery school and built it to what it is today. What matters is being creative and innovative,” said Kaonga.
