The Reserve Bank of Malawi is today releasing into circulation a K 5, 000 banknote.
Ralph Tseka, spokesperson for the Central Bank has told us the bank thinks it has done adequate awareness on features of the new banknote.
Speaking to MIJ Online, Tseka said ahead of the circulation, the Reserve Bank has conducted sensitisation campaigns to raise awareness on features on the new banknote.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson has parried away fears that the introduction of the new bank note will trigger a rise in the inflation rate
