The main opposition Malawi Congress Party MCP has filled vacant positions in its National Executive Committee with a total of 23 people.
The new appointments have been made by party leader Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.
An internal memorandum signed by Secretary General Richard Chimwendo Banda has indicated that the appointments take effect immediately.
According to the memo, the appointments include; Chambulanyina Jere and Owen Chomanika as first and second Deputy Secretary Generals respectively.
Meanwhile new deputy directors include Anthony Masamba for Public Relations.
The Secretary General further announced the appointment of new members to the National Executive Committee.
Those named include; Edward Chileka, Brown Mpinganira, Savel Kafwafwa and Grezelder Jeffrey.
