Media rights body, MISA Malawi says it is following up on the arrest of renowned investigative journalist Gregory Gondwe of the Platform for Investigative Journalism.
Gondwe who is Managing Director for has reportedly been detained over a story about Attorney General that the platform published on 30th March 2022.
Reports are indicating that police are allegedly forcing Gondwe to reveal source of documents that were used in the story.
Police are reported to have confiscated Computer and Phones belonging to Gondwe.
Meanwhile MISA Malawi has since said it is unlawful to forcing journalist to reveal sources of their information as provided in the Access to Information act.
