Energy Regulator- Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority Mera, has said it will disclose in weeks’ time, whether or not fuel prices will be hiked.
Mera through an update on the Landed Costs of Petroleum Products has shown indicators that fuel prices may be hiked in the upcoming month.
But, Fitina Khonje- Spokesperson for Mera, has told MIJ Online that the energy regulator cannot say whether or not the prices will be hiked at the moment.
However, Khonje said an update on fuel prices will be made after an assessment which is expected to take place in weeks’ time.
