The Malawi National Examination Board has announced that out of 123,808 candidates who sat for MSCE, 63,949 have passed which translates to a 51 percent pass rate, the highest in three years.
This was disclosed today when the board and the Ministry of education announced MSCE results.
Minister of Education, Agness NyaLonje said there is a sharp improvement in the MSCE pass rates as
last year’s percentage was at 41.4.
Nyalonje has described the improved pass rate of MSCE examinations as a true reflection of improved education quality in the country.
According to Nyalonje, the Ministry of Education will work extra hard to assist every student including those with disabilities to be able to pass with flying colours.
Nyalonje has since challenged schools that have performed poorly to borrow a leaf from other schools who have performed better with available limited resources.
She further indicated that all results will be available by tomorrow.
