Dr. Mathews Mtumbuka, UTM’s vice-presidential candidate, has won a Facebook poll as the most popular running mate, surpassing Vitumbiko Mumba of the MCP.
The poll by influencer Nyauyu came after submission of presidential nominations ended.
Mtumbuka secured 55% of the votes, with respondents praising his integrity, professionalism, and academic credentials, including his PhD from the University of Oxford and experience in technology and infrastructure.
