Mulhakho 2022 gets underway

It’s been a day of fun, pomp and colour at Chombe Cultural Centre as this years’ Mulhakho wa Alhomwe has taken off.

Like expected; the patronage has on the opening day been treated to a variety of locally brewed beers and delicacies.

Mulli: We are all set.

Food and beers aside; music has also been on the menu.

But this has been for day-one and organisers are promising a lot fun for the weekend that goes through Sunday.

Meanwhile, Leston Mulli, board chairperson of the cultural grouping has told MIJ Online he was excited with the opening stages of the cultural festival.

He said: “organisers are excited and looking forward to a well patronized event this year because all invited guests local and international have conformed their attendance including two former presidents Bakili Muluzi and Peter Mutharika”.

Mulhakho wa Alhomwe is an annual cultural event organised to celebrate the Lhomwe culture through displays of food, dances and medicine among others.
