The Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) is gearing up to host its third Cultural, Research and Innovation Festival on August 22-23, 2025, at its Thyolo campus.
The two-day event promises to be a vibrant celebration of innovation, culture, and research, featuring a research conference, family-friendly activities, live music performances, and displays of cultural products and innovations.
According to Dr. Atikonda Mkwochi, the festival’s theme, “Igniting Scientific Innovation, Preserving Cultural Heritage towards Achieving Malawi 2063,” reflects MUST’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and preserving Malawi’s rich cultural heritage.
Entrepreneur Napoleon Dzombe will be the guest of honor at this year’s event, which is sponsored by Standard Bank through its Joy of the Arts Initiative with a donation of K40 million.
The festival is open to the public free of charge and will feature research presentations, cultural performances, exhibitions, and family-friendly activities.
