The National Bank of Malawi Plc has re-affirmed its commitment towards supporting and promoting quality education in the country.
This follows the donation of 3 braille machines worth 9 Million kwacha, to Nazombe School for the Blind, in Phalombe South East Constituency in Phalombe.
The donation follows an earlier appeal that former member of parliament for the Constituency, Dr Ken Lipenga made.
Speaking to MIJ Online, Stephano Kabichi Head boy for Nazombe School for the Blind emphasized the need that the school should be supported as it continues to face numerous challenges affecting their day to day activities.
And in his remarks, Dr Lipenga called upon the corporate world to emulate what National Bank of Malawi Plc has done as the school is in need of more teaching and learning resources.
Meanwhile, Akkosa Hiwa Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs for National Bank of Malawi Plc says the bank is aimed at promoting quality education in the country, as it is a fundamental value in the Malawi 2063.
Hiwa added that the bank is committed to support the school in other development areas.
