Nsanje council nods to World Vision Malawi fiscal plan

The Nsanje District Executive Committee has approved World Vision Malawi (WVM) fiscal year budget and plan for 2024 which is about MK 354 Million.

Speaking during the presentation of fiscal year budget, WVM program coordinator for Nyachipele Area Program David Ng’ambi said they are set to have three major components in the year to come.

He said: “We are focusing on the wellbeing of children which is our major target through child protection and advocacy activities plus livestock and goat pass on program which will be given to 200 households since we will distribute about 800 goats. We also focus on interventions to promote sanitation,’’.

Nsanje District Council Administrator, Gift Sohaya thanked the organization for having good plans  which seem to have interest in alleviating social challenges people face.

On his part, Senior Chief Chimombo described WVM as a friend in all times as it gives them more social amenities.

WVM is targeting about 2 million children aged 0 – 18 years through relief and transformational development program and also about 4.2 million aged 0 – 18 through collaborative climate change influence by 2025.

In Nsanje district the WVM has pegged a fiscal year budget of 315, 000 US Dollars which is MK354 Million from November, 2023 to September 2024.
