Ombudsman Grace Malera has filed an application for discharge of an injunction obtained by Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority over the release of an investigative report into the recruitment of Henry Kachaje as chief executive officer of the authority.
Speaking to MIJ Online, Malera said the application has been filed today and her office is waiting for the court to set a date for the hearing.
Besides Malera said the office of the ombudsman is also asking the court to discharge the leave for judicial review which was granted to Mera to challenge her decision to release the report.
