The Blantyre City Council has disclosed that over two thousand business operators in the city have acquired licenses since the council started renewing the licenses early this month.
The revelation comes as the council continues issuing licenses to various business owners with an effort to enhance effective business operations in the commercial city.
Speaking to MIJ Online, Deborah Luka -Spokesperson for the council says the exercise has received a positive feedback from the business community in the city since its onset.
She has however encouraged those who intend to operate business in the city to get a license before this Friday.
