Stakeholders in the labour industry are proposing round-table discussions between employers and workers on possible salary increments-amid the rise in the cost of living.
The proposal comes as there have been calls for employers to adjust upwards salaries of employees -to mitigate effects of the prevailing economic challenges.
Speaking to MIJ Online, George Khaki President for Employers Consultative Association of Malawi- said calls for salary increments are timely- but there is need for employers and employees to discuss for mutual benefit.
