Stakeholders continue scaling up efforts to improve access to portable water to people in the country as slightly over half of the population are meeting such expectations.
At the moment, 67 percent of Malawians have access to clean water, a feat stakeholder feel must still be addressed.
But some stakeholders are holding to a belief that can be improved based on interest to scale up efforts on improving hygiene for people.
According to Mtisunge Mbota, projects manager for Water Mission government needed to start offering sustainable water resources that will suffice needs of the population all year round.
The remarks by Mbota have come on the heels of commemoration of World Water Day on March, 22.
