Gender rights campaigners have urged women to speak out if they are facing gender-based violence in their families.
The call comes as a woman in Mangochi has been admitted at hospital after her husband poured hot water on her because she delayed in serving him supper.
It also comes as another woman was set on fire in Thyolo by her husband.
Speaking to MIJ Online, Emma Kaliya, a gender rights activists’ time has come for women to speak out and end relationships which can put their life at risk.
