Young professionals have been urged to be cautious in managing their finances.
The plea has been made in Mzuzu at an event where National Bank of Malawi was introducing to the northern region youth a new product dubbed Step Up Young Professionals.
Speaking at the event, Samson Mzungu National Bank Service Manager for Mzuzu said the product seeks to provide loan facilities to young professionals to enable them improve their finances, further their studies or uplift their lives in various aspects.
Mzungu added that this is one way of ensuring that young professionals are provided with resources that should help them settle as they embark on a journey to establish themselves.
Meanwhile, Wesley Mwafulirwa, a Managing Partner of Kawelo Lawyers who was the event’s guest of honor appealed to young professionals to be prudent in managing their finances.
According to National Bank, the loan facility also offers digital financial services, credit facilities and a platform for young people to be drilled in financial management.
