Consumers will have to tread carefully in purchasing products made from apples as another South African based Coca-cola company has just recalled Appletiser juice.
This is due to the presence of Patulin, a toxin that occur in fruits such as apples after fungul contamination.
The recall is coming barely a month after another SA based company recalled Ceres 100% apple juice due to the same reason.
Innocent Helema, Spokesperson for the Competition and Fair-Trading Commission has confirmed the recall in an interview with MIJ Online saying the batch being recalled is the ones with specified expiry dates.
