In a world of socio-economic stress; a lady-philanthropist Bishop Farzana Khan has born reaching-out to the vulnerable in need of food and safer-shelter; and also school fees for those struggling to raise it.
But that isn’t all!
The physically-challenged, who can’t afford a walk to the farm-yard aren’t been forgotten, for Bishop Khan is equally reaching-out to them with support to have their fields cleared and planted.
All this; courtesy of a charity she has launched, Reality Hand for The Needy.
Speaking at the launch of the outreach-ministry… the Bishop said she had been motivated to help the needy seeing challenges “the elderly, the physically-challenged and less privileged children were experiencing.
“The help am giving come in different forms: am providing food supplements for the elderly, school fees for those struggling, roofing material for those whose houses leak and also soft loans for those needing business-support,” said Bishop Khan, also founder for Reality Church.
In an interview upon receipt of assorted food-items plus maize flour and groundnuts, John Dafter a resident of Mbayani Township, Blantyre expressed delight at the donation saying it had come at the time of need.
“I couldn’t have asked for more. I’m very thankful for the help I’ve received because times have been harsh for people of my community [the physically challenged],” said Dafter.
While excited with the launch of her charity; Bishop Khan has extended a call for partnership to her ministry so that it reaches out to more in need of support for their dignified living.
“My prayer goes to the corporate world, charity organisations and individuals of good-will to join this with Reality Hand for The Needy so that we can expand this outreach ministry beyond Blantyre and help more in need of help,” she said.
