The Competition and Fair Trading Commission (CFTC) has urged consumers to remain vigilant when buying goods and services during the festive season.
The Commission warns that some traders take advantage of the period by excessively increasing prices not reflecting the quality or value of the products.
Speaking to MIJ Online, Innocent Helema, spokesperson for the commission, said consumers should know their rights and avoid being exploited by dishonest traders.
He also advised traders to maintain fair and reasonable prices encouraging to issue receipts for every transaction.
