A Human Rights body, Center for Democracy Watch has called on President Lazarus Chakwera to come out and clear the growing public perception that he has some untouchable ministers suspected of indulging in corrupt acts.
The grouping has told Chakwera to stop pretending not to have heard of such perceptions.
According to a statement signed by Center for Democracy Watch National Coordinator Levy Luwemba, nepotism, unemployment, political lies, executive arrogance, indecisiveness and general lack of direction remain prevalent in the current regime.
Chakwera who has been called to create an environment that provide jobs with decent earnings has also been warned against nepotism and petty politics of appeasement.
The statement has further condemned the Affordable Input Programme (AIP) saying government has failed to manage the programme.
“The program has tortured and degraded some of our parents who have to spend sleepless nights in ADMARC depots but all in vain. The leadership cannot pretend it does not see the mess the programme has become” reads part of the letter.
