Officials says all is set for the country to receive the new long-acting HIV prevention drug known as lenacapavir.
The treatment has already been adopted in other African countries, Malawi sets to be the latest.
Dr. Beatrice Matanje, Chief Executive Officer for the National AIDS Commission has told MIJ Online that Malawi is among the countries supported by the U.S. government, through PEPFAR, to receive the new drug.
According to Matanje, the country is expected to receive its first doses by February next year.
