Small and medium scale business operators have tipped government loans institution – Neef to develop strategies meant to address challenges of access to loans by people in hard to reach areas.
The sentiments come as Neef intends to disburse loans to business operators affected by tropical storms including re-financing those with outstanding loans who have expressed commitment to repay the loans.
Speaking to MIJ FM, William Mwale – national coordinator for the National Small and Medium Enterprise described the move as a good development as many businesses especially in the lower shire districts have been affected.
Mwale has however advised authorities at NEEF to intensify awareness on processes to acquire the loans in order to reach out to more people in need of the same.
