Old Mutual has supported a conference due to be held from today and until Saturday by the Institute of People Management Malawi (IPMM) with funds amounting to 3 million kwacha.
The conference is slated to be held in Mangochi where practitioners will among other things tackle issues affecting the industries and areas of improvement.
Speaking during the presentation of the financial support, Group Human Capital Executive for Old Mutual Malawi, Rex Kadzongwe said their support is based on the value that they have over the profession.
Kadzongwe was however quick to challenge human resources practitioners to sustain high levels of integrity and ethical behaviors so that the nation gets the best out of people’s knowledge and ideas.
‘’ As an employer of choice, we are delighted to support this conference because IPMM provides our staff in the human resource management profession, the opportunity to share knowledge and reflect on how new trends in this field. We also have made this gesture as we always stick to responsible business core values in our practices by supporting communities that we operate in, ‘’ said Kadzongwe.
In his remarks, IPMM Treasurer General, Chisomo Chaduka was delighted in receiving the support and said it would come any better time than this.
He said in an interview that the funds will among other things support them in operations and administration so that the conference achieves its intended goals.
