Private Schools owners Association of Malawi PRISAM this week engaged managing directors of private schools in Ndirande Zone calling on them to join the association which is set on a mission to improve private education service provision.
The newly revived association which had been dormant for some years is currently engaging private schools to appreciate challenges and map the way forward on addressing challenges facing the sector.
Meanwhile during an interface meeting with managing directors of private schools for Ndirande zone, PRISAM Vice President-Patricia Chisi-encouraged the schools to become members of PRISAM in order to develop their schools through various opportunities such as teacher trainings as well as aiding in registering their schools with government.
“We wanted to sensitize them on strategies that the association is putting in place which are aimed at benefiting every school whether big or small for improved service delivery, ‘’said Chisi.
PRISAM trustee member Dr Hastings Moroko disclosed that after the association will continue interacting with schools in all the regions of the country.
In her remarks managing director for Future Ladders Foundation-Patricia Gama-expressed delight with the interface saying her school will join the association as it has agendas that have potential in addressing challenges facing private schools.
