Illovo donates three vehicles for crime fight in CK

There are expectations of reduced crime at Chikwawa police following the donation of three vehicles by Illovo.
Mia says the donation is timely.

The initiative has come as there has been growing cases of insecurity which has affected Illovo company operations.

George Kainja Inspector General for Malawi Police said the vehicles that the institution has are inadequate and that the donation will ease the transport challenges.
On her part member of parliament for Chikwawa Nkombedzi who is also Deputy Minister of Lands Abida Mia said the donation is critical in as far as strengthening security in the area is concerned.
According to Mia, Illovo has been instrumental in the areas of health, agriculture, education and security.
Meanwhile, Moureen Kachingwe Director of Legal and Stakeholder Engagement for Illovo Malawi has said the vehicles are worth 130 million kwacha.
