Mighty Wanderers Football Club President Thompson Mpinganjira, along with the club, has established a partnership with the Sports Writers Association of Malawi (SWAM) in preparation for the association’s Annual General Meeting, which is scheduled to occur from November 13th to 15th, 2026 in Salima.
Mpinganjira and the club formalize their partnership commitment to the AGM through a donation of 10 million kwacha.
The Club’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Welosi Kachingwe, makes the announcement of this donation and emphasizes the club’s dedication to acknowledging the significant contributions of Sports Journalists throughout the nation.
“Our club deeply appreciates the professionalism demonstrated by sports journalists in Malawi, as evidenced during the recent CAF Champions League competition where we traveled alongside several SWAM members to Tanzania,” Kachingwe stated.
SWAM President Mphatso Malidadi expressed his satisfaction with the donation, noting that it will substantially support their efforts in hosting the AGM.
Malidadi further noted that such contributions reflect the strong collaborative relationship that exists between Sports Journalists and the broader Sports community.
