Trevor Mphalale, a lawyer working with the Ministry of Justice, has been found dead inside his Area 51 house in the capital city, Lilongwe, police say.
National Police Spokesperson, James Kadadzera says the body is currently at Kamuzu Central Hospital pending postmortem to establish the cause of death.
He was among the lawyers behind the case involving a police officer who raped a University student who was jailed for thirty years.
Mphalale was, until his death, senior state advocate in the office of Director of Public Prosecutions ( DPP).
